NCADA President John Policastro Honored with AENC’s Bob Slocum Award
The North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association is proud to announce that President John Policastro has been named the recipient of the 2026 Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC) Bob Slocum Award for Outstanding Government Affairs & Advocacy.
The award recognizes association professionals who demonstrate leadership and effectiveness in advancing their organization's mission through government relations and advocacy. John was recognized for his work representing NCADA members and advocating on behalf of North Carolina's franchised automobile, truck, and RV dealers.
Since joining NCADA, John has helped strengthen the Association's advocacy efforts and worked to ensure dealer perspectives are represented on issues affecting the industry. He has worked closely with elected officials, policymakers, industry leaders, and association partners to support NCADA's legislative and regulatory priorities.
The Bob Slocum Award recognizes the impact of those efforts and the important role advocacy plays in serving NCADA members and North Carolina's franchised automobile, truck, and RV dealers.
Government affairs and advocacy have always been central to NCADA's mission. From supporting a strong franchise system to addressing legislative and regulatory challenges facing dealerships, effective advocacy ensures members have a unified voice on the issues impacting their businesses.
Under John's leadership, NCADA has continued to engage with policymakers and industry partners while advocating for the interests of dealers across North Carolina. The Association remains focused on representing its members and addressing the issues that matter most to North Carolina's franchised automobile, truck, and RV dealers.
The Bob Slocum Award recognizes the dedication and collaboration required to effectively represent an association's members. While the award honors John's contributions, it also reflects the work of NCADA's members, Board of Directors, staff, and advocacy partners in advancing the priorities of North Carolina's dealer community.
