What is the NC AutoPAC?

The retail automotive industry is changing faster than ever—and so is the political landscape that affects how dealerships do business. From new technologies and environmental standards to workforce challenges and economic pressures, the decisions made in Raleigh have a direct impact on your dealership’s success.

That’s where the NC AutoPAC comes in. Formed in 1992, the NC AutoPAC serves as the collective, nonpartisan voice of North Carolina’s franchised dealers, ensuring our industry has a strong presence in the discussions that shape our future.

The NC AutoPAC supports pro-business, pro-dealer candidates—regardless of political affiliation—who understand the vital role dealerships play in local economies and communities. 

To maintain a healthy, competitive, and pro-dealer environment, we need participation from every member of the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association. Whether you’re a dealer principal, general manager, service director, salesperson, or one of our valued association partners, your contribution helps protect our industry’s future and ensures the voices of North Carolina dealers continue to be heard loud and clear.

Contribution Levels

Every contribution to the NC AutoPAC makes a difference. Policy decisions in North Carolina can affect every aspect of your business, from taxation and regulatory requirements to dealership operations and workforce issues. That’s why it’s so important to support candidates who understand the needs of franchised dealers and their customers.

The AutoPAC accepts contributions from anyone at your dealership, as well as from NCADA association partners. While contributions of every size matter, most support comes at the SuperHeroes level or above. If you’ve contributed in the past, we encourage you to consider stepping up a level this year to maximize your impact.

  • All-Star  – $1,000+ per year

  • Chairman’s Club – $2,000+ per year

  • Superheroes Club – $3,000+ per year

  • Maximum Per Election – $6,800 per year

These levels provide opportunities for recognition and exclusive engagement while supporting the pro-business agenda that benefits all dealerships.

2025 brings a host of legislative challenges and opportunities for North Carolina dealerships. From tax policies to regulatory issues, there are many critical decisions being made at the statehouse and in local government that can impact your business.

Contribute to the AutoPAC

Contributions or gifts to the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association Political Action Committee (“NC AutoPAC”) are voluntary and not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Participation is strictly limited to individuals who are members of NCADA. Contributions are used for political purposes, including supporting candidates for state and local office who align with the pro-business, pro-dealer philosophy of NCADA. Contributions are subject to state and federal campaign finance laws.
