NCADA ADDS SECOND FLIGHT OF HONOR
The North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (NCADA) announced this week that due to overwhelming response, the group has scheduled a second Flight of Honor for Triangle WWII veterans. To date, 140 veterans have applied for a seat on the first flight, which will be held on October 7, 2010. The second flight will be held on November 4, 2010. Both flights will be one-day trips from Raleigh Durham International Airport to Washington D.C., where veterans will visit their World War II Memorial, as well as other key monuments and memorials.
“We knew pretty quickly that we might need a second flight, as we were deluged with calls from interested veterans and their family members,” explains Robert Glaser, President of NCADA. “Our Triangle-area franchised dealers decided they want to do whatever it takes to honor these heroes, so we are moving forward and counting on the community to help us demonstrate our appreciation for these veterans.”
New car dealerships in the Triangle are raising funds for the two flights from employees, customers and the community at large. Donations are being accepted at all area Bank of America locations, as well as online at http://www.TriangleFlightofHonor.com. The group is also seeking corporate support from both small and large businesses in the Triangle.
