74th NCADA Annual Convention
NCADA held its 74th Annual Convention June 14-17, at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. The event kicked off on Sunday, June 14, with a “Welcome to Asheville” party featuring music and dancing, including the smooth moves of outgoing chairman Bill Musgrave.
Monday was packed full with Education Sessions, an Expo featuring convention sponsors and an inspiring presentation by economist Barry Asmus. During lunch, North Carolina Secretary of Transportation Gene Conti and Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton addressed dealers. NCADA also honored Don Price, North Carolina’s 2009 Time Magazine Quality Dealer.
On Tuesday, NCADA voted in a new slate of officers and heard from Automotive Consultant and Trainer Dave Anderson. NCADA also hosted a Bankruptcy II meeting for dealers. Several attendees used the open afternoon on Tuesday to golf, visit the Grove Park’s renowned spa and enjoy the Ladies Tea & Fashion Show. During the Grand Finale Banquet on Tuesday evening, NCADA honored its 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award winners Deacon Jones, Vann York and Michael Leith. The association also honored Bill and Wanda Musgrave for their service to NCADA over the past year.
